750 ml. Giant, frothy, off-white head, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy, deep amber body. The aroma is malty with notes of toasted grain, cookie, caramel. Hints of resin and grapefruit. the flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, moderately bitter, dry. The bitterness and alcohol lingers. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and lively carbonation. Balance tilted toward malts. Reminds me a little of Alpha King though not as complex nor with the separation of hops and malts in the aroma and flavor.

Dec 31, 2009 This is a great fucking brew. I am partial towards wildly hopped brews so that may impact my score, but this beer was awesome. Super bitter and hoppy, but balanced to a point where I was pouring more and more of the 750 into my glass to get more of my hop fix.

Dec 28, 2009 Nicely done amped up version of their single, this brew boasts a up front grapefruit and citrus blast through the nose, which transfers in the back end of the flavors of the brew. Big malty goodness through the medium body, hops kick in once again towards the end for a great finish. Not mind blowing, but a damn good DIPA.

Dec 28, 2009 Bottle spit three ways among friends in tulip glasses. It produce a large white head that laced out just perfect .the body was this wonderful dark amber in color. The aroma was very hop forward. Nice and earthy pine and a great floral presence. The flavor was slightly oxidized but still had good malt sweetness followed by a drying hop bitter. A solid medium feel in my mouth with ample carbonation
I will say we finished these glasses rather quickly It was easy to drink and quite good for an IPA

Dec 24, 2009 760 ml. bottle from the local QFC. Nice looking stuff i.e. haze brown and orange color. Fairly translucent beer. Nice fluffy head sitting on top to compliment the lovely looking body. Nice combination of citrus and pine hop aroma. Malts are adding a sweet caramel aroma that is mixing well with the beer. Very nice pungent beer I must say. Beer has a slight hint of alcohol. Very hoppy brew. Pine hops are coming through with a touch of citrus to back it up Sweet caramel malts aren’t really playing a huge role, but enough to balance this thing out somewhat. Very smooth Double/IPA. Overall, a very solid double that I am glad to have tried twice now.

Dec 13, 2009 Updated: Dec 14, 2009Pours an amber mahogany color with a yellow head so thick you could plant a flag in it, and after it slowyly disappears, it leaves a nice sticky lacing. Aroma features a distinctive pine aroma, with very subtle caramel and molasses notes beneath it. Taste is very subdued as a whole, with hop bitterness being the most prominentat first, but balanced by a very prominent sweet and short caramel finish. Makes it a very drinkable beer.

Dec 11, 2009 pours a nice golden orange with medium white head. aroma is very nice juicy cirtus and floral pine mix. drinks with lots of bitter cirtus and floral hop upfront and flows right to a mild bitter pine for the finish. this one is straight forward but very well done. no noticable malt on this. very fruity and good.
