Bottle from D&J Liquor in St. Louis, MO. BB 05/08/08. But it’s bottle conditioned, so that’s not likely critical. Poured nice and black with a good tan head. Aroma of dark roasted/toasted malt. Medium body with somewhat frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark toasted malt with some hints of smoke. More than hints. Might qualify as a rauchbier. Finish is about the same. It’s a good refreshing stout with a smokey bent.

Nice near black pour with good clarity and quick fading light brown head. Excellent dark roast aroma. Malty sweetness and a bit metallic. Somewhat cloying finish. Decent stout, but nothing special.

Pours black with a brown head. Slight roasted malt aroma. Taste is pretty muted chocolate and roasted malts. A bit of acidity. Not offensive.

Sampled from bottle, this brew pours a dark black colour with a medium bronw head. Mouthfeel is light, not as creamy as i expected it to be. Subtle notes of coffee, toffee and oak. Taste is light, chocolate and caramel flavors.

On Tap at KCI Airport Brewpub. Dark choco brown pour with thin head. Nitro pour, so sure, it was silky smooth...but along with it, a muted taste. Mostly roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Hints of everything. I’m not a fan of these nitro pour, extra smooth mouthfeel but little taste stouts. They wanted something to give a Guinness experience...ok, they succeeded.

From a 12 oz bottle this poured a rich chocolate brown with nice foamy light tan head and good lacing. Nose is of roasted malts with some ripe fruit. Medium to light mouthfeel. Thinner than it looks. Flavor is mostly of roasted malts. Dry bitter finish.

Very dark brown with a small brown head. Weak roasted aroma. Flavor of toasted/roasted malts. Finish is dry.
