But it’s bottle conditioned, so that’s not likely critical. Poured nice and black with a good tan head. Aroma of dark roasted/toasted malt. Medium body with somewhat frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark toasted malt with some hints of smoke. More than hints. Might qualify as a rauchbier. Finish is about the same. It’s a good refreshing stout with a smokey bent. Excellent dark roast aroma. Malty sweetness and a bit metallic. Somewhat cloying finish. Decent stout, but nothing special. undsioux7 (561), Cologne, Minnesota, USA

Mouthfeel is light, not as creamy as i expected it to be. Subtle notes of coffee, toffee and oak. Taste is light, chocolate and caramel flavors. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2008 On Tap at KCI Airport Brewpub. Dark choco brown pour with thin head. Nitro pour, so sure, it was silky smooth...but along with it, a muted taste. Mostly roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Hints of everything. I’m not a fan of these nitro pour, extra smooth mouthfeel but little taste stouts. They wanted something to give a Guinness experience...ok, they succeeded. hayduke (1670), Eureka, California, USA
