Commercial Description:
Boulevard Irish Ale, our springtime seasonal beer, is patterned after red ales that have a rich Irish heritage. Our recipe combines five kinds of malt to provide a complex, toasty flavor and reddish hue. Nugget and English Kent Golding hops are added to enhance the beer’s complexity and to produce a pleasing balance.

A deep mahogany color with a thin white head. The aromas given off are malt, yeast, seem like a little caramel and hints of citrus. The taste is toasted malt hints of molasses, and a hint of citrus. There is a slight bitterness with a clean crisp finish. The body is medium to light. A good beer overall

Poured the color of murky iced tea with virtually no head. Mild roasted aroma, hops underlying. Flavor is the same but palate is a thin.

Bottle. Pours clear, light ruby with very small but constant bubbles. Medium off-white head, mostly diminishing and little lacing. Nose is cereal with toffee and some citrus hops. Taste is cereal and bread. Medium body with a thin but lively mouth-feel. Finishes slightly bitter with some dryness... mild hops. There’s nothing here that I don’t like.

12-oz bottle received via trade with Duane. Pours sparkling ruby with an average sized creamy off-white head, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is average malt (cereal, nutty), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of pear and paper. Light bodied, thin texture, lively carbonation and an astringent finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness; foamy metal, raw hop and cereal malt flavor.

Pours dark amber, creamy white head. Malty with caramel, toffee, and toasty. Hops are slightly spicy and mild. I thought this was very good, balanced, and tasty.

Bottle: The aroma is moderately fruity with grape and cherry with some raint roastiness and nuttiness. It pours a bright transparent reddish-orange with a small off-white head that fades quickly. The flavor starts with moderate fruit with lots of grape throughout. The finish has some faint roastiness with minimal hops. The mouthfeel is thin and watery with minimal carbonation.
