| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2009 I was pretty excited to see this one at Steve’s. I’m also happy overall to find Boulevard beers in my neck of the woods. Poured a breautiful, translucent amber colour with a very fine white head. Plenty of carbonation, just not much in the froth. Aroma is pleasent, a little hint of caramel and smoke possibly hidden, very subtley. Flavours of something sweet, like maybe a little maple syrup or something- otherwise finishes slightly bitter. I guess i may be comparing this too much to the Great Lakes Irish because it’s probably one of my favorites and most recent. Anyway, i’ll be trying this agian for sure. | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Clear red, tall head. Light cherry aroma, otherwise weak. Weak taste, not very pleasant finish. The taste dies off quickly. Reminds me of cough syrup. kidmartinek (980), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 8, 2009 Good deep cloudy amber with a nice tan head. Aroma of British hops and a balanced malt blend. Taste is balanced and mild but full and mostly malt with a caramel nut finish. Good for the style, albeit a little bitter. fidelis83 (720), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 5, 2009 Pours dark brownish amber with a 2 finger slimy looking beige head. Aroma is grass, grainy malt, biscuit, fruity notes, and some planty hops. Flavor is raw grain, toast, wood notes, grass, light fruit, raw nuts, citrus and some caramel. Finish is slightly bitter and planty. Palate is thin, slightly sweet and has a slightly drying finish, very clean and crisp. A very good beer, available at a great price in my area. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 28, 2009 Usually I really like the Boulevard products. Somehow, for me, this one missed the mark. It is not much more than an average Irish Ale in my book. Looks like by the total average rating I am outnumbered...oh well, personal preference.
