Jan 22, 2009 Pours a bubbly orange with a 1/2 inch foam white head. Aroma has a light banana, yeasty and biscuit notes with a good amount of cloves and alcohol nose. Flavor is moderately chewy for the style, with an estery and clove flavor up front and moves into biscuit/bready notes in the middle and finishes with a sweet, heavy alcohol ending. Mouth feel is okay but a little light. Overall a great beer which had a smooth flavor and was a very enjoyable beer.

Jan 22, 2009 25.4 oz bottle. Hazy orange with a thick white head. Nose is yeast, honey, bubblegum and lemon zest. Medium body with scratchy carb. Taste is peach, apricot and pepper. Bitter finish with lime; a bit cloying. Full of flavor but a little rough.

Jan 3, 2009 Fabulous beer. The beer welcomes with sweet yeasty smell and the first taste is of... almost spicy sweet tarts. Awesome. The finish on this bright yellow beer leaves you with longing for more.
Friend says, "I don’t really like trippels a lot. But, I like this one. I will drink this one."

Jan 1, 2009 Pour is light orange color, fluffy white head and decent lacing. Yeasty and spicy nose. The flavor was a typical trippel malt bill with lots of fruitiness, orange and other tropical like fruit. The spicing and yeastiness in this was moderate to high. Rich and full in the palate, slightly dry. Not a bad beer, but not knocking my socks off either.

Dec 31, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a big cream-colored head. Malty, estery (light summer fruit) aroma with light spice. Malt and spice flavor with nice balancing summer/tropical fruit. Medium bodied. malt lingers with light caramel, earth, spice, and nice fruity esters. Good balance.

Dec 28, 2008 Quite a good tripel, with yeasty notes and an integrated palate that brings some floral and citrus hop bitterness together with a bunch of light, sweet malts. Hazy and medium orange in the glass. Plenty of estery aromas.

Dec 27, 2008 750mL bottle. Pours a very hazy golden orange with a massive fluffy white head that stays as an inch-thick cap for the duration. The carbonation bubbling up from the bottom is huge.
The smell is very sweet with light fruit and candi sugar but there is definitely some citrus hops as well, especially lemons.
The taste is sweet but has a more dominant Belgian yeast backbone that maintains a bready character throughout. The lemons hit up front with some sugary sweetness in the middle. The finish has the slightest bitterness from the hops and some generous spices.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with an exceptional amount of carbonation, possibly a tad too much. Overall, its very creamy but with lots of activity on the palate.
This is another very good beer from the Smokestack series and, so far, Im impressed with this series. Looking forward to trying the others.
