| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2009 Bottle. Rating No. 100. Pours a large, rocky, frothy, white head. Head is clingy and patchy. Deep, honey golden, bordering on light orange body. Hazy with some chunky yeast particulate. Aroma is dominated by bready wheat malt, some yeast dough, mild fruity esters, a touch of citrus, some clove, fresh cut countryside grass and hints of raisin. Flavor contains all of the above plus some caramel undertones and some warming alcohol. Average carbonation for the style, light-medium body, sweet up front finishes with a candi-sugar crispness. Warming, slightly punchy alcohol avoids being too aggressive. Overall a solid, tasty, easy drinking tripel. EithCubes (2169), Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bottle, corked and caged. Hazy golden pour with a an enormous, very long-lasting rocky/creamy beige head. Sweet malty nose, really very inviting, some sugary vanilla and marshmallow, caramel with faint dark fruit and earthy coriander. Golden sunshine flavor with an alcohol kick coming on late, but relatively few higher-order alcohols. Sugary sweetness dries out a bit. Smooth and creamy feel with a light-medium body. Faint little esters, some pleasant peppery spice but it’s well-blended and doesn’t fall out. Light grassy notes and citrus seem much juicier, much fresher than is normal for the style. Very good, classically-styled tripel. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Bottle, thanks to tytoanderso, big ups in fact for this one. Aroma of spice, yeast, flowers, and most notably delectable marmalade and honey. Flavor keeps the honey coming with lots of citrus, increasing but still balanced spiciness, biscuity and bready malt, and more yeast. Comes back to the marmalade at the finish. A wealth of flavor, complex, balanced yet notably big and bold. Creamy yet pretty dry mouthfeel. Luscious. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

Small white head. Golden coloured fruity banana aroma. Slightly hazy in appearance. Some bitterness in a crisp malt finish.
