Peppery yeasty aroma, golden with a strong white head. Very dry peppery flavor, strong and intense going where few American tripels dare. CaptainCougar (5521), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma of sweet caramely biscuity malt and Belgian yeastiness. Body starts fairly full and sweet with nice biscuity pale maltiness and some light fruity esters. Pretty well balanced, authentic and should age well.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2009 Orange-amber with very head that at first fills 2/3 of the glass. The first whiff is of summer mush, then out pour veins of honey-tipped clove cigarretes, richly developed phenols, esters, and white pepper. The flavor is no less splendid. Complex esters and phenols, though no detectable banana. Well cloaked cloviness, light white pepper, edges of Carribean spiced rum warm the gullet. Trace of clove cigarette and syrup on the finish. An out of this world, best-in-class, Tripel. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 31, 2009 Pours golden orange with a massive head and medium lacing. Aroma is sweet fruit, coriander, lemon, soil, some minty notes, and a touch of pepper. Flavor is initially sweet, bubblegum, lemon, and all spice blend into warm rye notes, sweet honey, and a touch of alcohol. Very well done, not cloyingly sweet on the end like other Tripels I’ve had.
