Apr 22, 2009 Golden in color with a taller off-white head. Decent lace. Aromas of Light fruit, lightly toasted malt and dough, floral scents, hint of coriander and alcohol. Full sweet flavors with light caramel, honey, raisins, resin and alcohol. Finish has a bit of burn and once again some alcohol. A nice dry malt flavor in the linger. This seems quite hot and lacks the subtleties I like in my type of tripel. I keep thinking this is just another strong golden. Perhaps I’m a little let down after the Saison, but I’ve been trying this over the last 1/2 hour and I am not catching much difference.

Apr 19, 2009 Clear pour, giant head, good lace, rising bubbles. Cinnamon spicy aroma. Lots of cinnamon with a strange alcoholic, almost medicinal aftertaste. These is definitely some camphor flavor, maybe this is old. Not bad but I’ve been saving this tasting and am pretty disappointed.

Apr 14, 2009 Batch T8067 in Dallas. Nice, solid tripel. Very well balanced and some nice spice in the flavour. Definitely follows the traditional Belgian style.

Apr 6, 2009 Very cloudy, burnt orange in appearance. Nose is subtle with yeast, light corriander, spice and fruit. Flavor is light, fruity, and orange. Middies at best.

Apr 2, 2009 Sweet fruity aroma, light peppery spice, clove, dust perhaps. Pours golden with good carbonation and a fizzy head. Sweet dusty with hints of pepper and clove, banana perhaps. Light bitter finish. Fizzy carb, nice drinker. Oh yeah... My 36th Tripel rating. What you know about that?

Apr 1, 2009 Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange golden with a large frothy white head that lasts awhile leaving behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a spicy clove and orange peel. The taste is a dry fruit with a bitter finish with the alcohol very present. A very good abbey tripel from Boulevard.

Mar 30, 2009 Color is a hazy orange yellow with good carbonation and a thick head. Aroma is sweet with a fruity yeast scent. Taste is fruity, spicy and faintly bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down fizzy and smooth. Finish comes in with a banana yeast flavor then some spiciness, a faint dried fruit taste and a light bitterness. In the after taste the fruit fades giving way to a slight citrus that lets the bitterness linger on awhile. This is a excellent Triple.
