| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jan 7, 2009 Pours brown with yeasty notes. Flavor is yeasty, wheaty sour, not boulevards best effort. Nuffield (2749), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Nice deep brown color. Vaguely malty and thin. It does get marks for its yeastiness, but I did not pick out the more subtle Dunkelwiezen notes from an otherwise pretty tame character. Thanks to my brother-in-law for bringing along the Boulevard gift pack to Christmas dinner. EithCubes (2176), Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Bottle. Nice wit nose, coriander and lemon pie filling atop a husky, grainy malt. Prominent yeast. Surprisingly dark pour – dark mahogany – under a rocky beige head. Taste is far too muddled, somewhat of a breadier, half-assed Dunkelweizen, dark earthy toffee and slight caramel, sharply bitter with just a touch of coriander and grain. Faint black pepper/ peppercorn that’s actually a very nice . Medium-light body, normal carbonation. Faint dirty nutmeg after. [Oh, it is a Dunkelweizen.] FunkyBrewster (537), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Pours a glowing dark brown with a slight haze and a lingering off-white frothy head. Aroma is very heavy wheat with a slight hint of spice and banana. Flavor starts with a big wheat and malt rush and gains a little hint of the fruit and spices that were present in the aroma but never quite gets beyond the wheat. Some yeast and bitterness in the finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. By no means a bad beer but comes across as slightly bland with no real balance. TheEnemy (422), Chicago, USA

Weird stuff. I was not expecting a weizen. Nothing on the label suggested that it was such. Anyway, pours a rich, very deep copper with a weak head that soon vanishes. Aroma gives up standard weizen aromas of citrus, clove, banana and bubblegum. Flavor is also basically weizen with a hint of the darker malts of a "dunkel" but not a lot. Citrus tartness is a bit overwhelming. Not quite in balance, but overall pretty adequate. llcooldave (339), San Antonio, Texas, USA

Yeasty aroma from the get go coupled with a yeasty malty flavor. Not too bad of a brew but nothing too exiting either. astrofrk (219), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
