Commercial Description:
Boulevard Lunar Ale is a cloudy, russet brown beer, with subtle aromatic notes provided by our special proprietary yeast strain. Lunar Ale’s distinctive rounded, mellow flavor is crowned by a crisp, dry finish. The old world art of bottle conditioning creates a secondary fermentation, resulting in a beer that tastes fresher, better, longer.

Murky medium brown or brown/orange, medium tight buff head. Toasty nose with notes of chocolate and banana. Creamy, estery body with chocolate-covered banana, toast, and cereal, finishing bitter. Not too sweet. Quaffable. Decent session ale.

Bottle from Lithy, thanks! Orange brown color, hazy. Malt and a hint of nutmeg in the aroma. Malty sweetish flavor with pear and nutmeg. Not unpleasant, but not outstanding.

Pours slightly hazy dark reddish brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is banana, sweet ginger/clove spice, and a little dark dried fruit. Flavor is yeasty bananas, cotton candy, caramel malt and all around pretty good. Finish is pretty quick but a little lemon and some spicy yeast bite.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy mahogany with soapy beige head. The aroma is lemon, wild mint, a few sweet banana hints, a mild clovey spiciness, and a touch of raisin. The flavor is a mellow, yeasty banana bread with some soft, spicy notes around it. Prickly finish. Ok, but pretty uninteresting.

Dark rusty brown color, cloudy, with a off-white head. Bananas in the nose, soft clove notes. Cereal and caramel sweetness up front, fruity finish with lots of esters. Tastes like sweet banana bread with a soft palate and lingering dry finish. I thought this was quite a bit better then the score suggests.

Pours hazy deep amber/copper with a off white head. Aroma of yeast, citris, spice. Taste is pretty much the same with some grainy caramel malt. It is fairly light, but was easy drinking and I liked the flavor the yeast added.

Poured deep amber with a tan head. Aroma - Yeast and spice. Starts with roast malt, some spice and fruity notes. Very thin. The taste quickly fades.

Ah, an American dunkelweizen! That explains a lot... there is no description on the label or the packaging. Bottle. Hazy rust color; large bubbles form a short-lived head. Banana bread, almost-chocolate, and cittic aromas. Fruity/tart flavor with breadcrust and mineral oil phenolics. Thin and overcarbonated mouthfeel has a limestone slickness. 1 Overall tastes light a dark american wheat. Extremely light in flavor and body.
