Sweet candied aroma, plummy, grapes and dark fruits like most belgians. Body is very light, slight chocolate notes mixed with a smooth amber malt sweetness. No lingering flavors is by far the most disappointing part of this beer. Decent tastes and aromas but too thin to be memorable. Goodgrief (1161), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 23, 2008 Unremarkable brown pour with a bready malt backbone. Lots of roast and some banana notes. Thin and watery and a bit astringent. Not my favorite beer. DasGrau (18), Topeka, Kansas, USA

Not too bad but compared to what I have been drinking, It seemed a bit "light". | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Dark brown / reddish color. Some aroma notes of caramel and fruit. Medium fizziness that almost overpower the dark malt flavors - lack of balance. Dark fruit and yeast on the finish. Would rate higher if the fizziness were toned down a notch. hayduke (1664), Eureka, California, USA
