Taste begins with yeast, banana, and caramel with lasts throughout and the banana becoming more prominent towards the end. A not to good representation of a Dunkleweizen but I wish I could think of which category it could better fit because it’s a decent tasting brew. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Beer pours a dark copper and semi-cloudy. A nice big head forms upon pouring but does diminish down pretty quickly. Great banana and fruity aromas pour out of the glass. The flavor is a light banana flavor with a finishing caramel malt flavor. Very fine carbonation makes it feel terrific in your mouth. Overall the aroma really teases you to want to drink it but once you take a sip the flavor really falls short of what the nose was telling you. jzzbassman (850), New Albany, Mississippi, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Pours a nice hazy mahogony brown with medium light tan head and plenty of carbonation. It has a warm, sweet and malty aroma. I like the silky mouthfeel, and the smooth flavor is a delight. I usually prefer lots of hops and little malt, but this brew is nice. I would like to pair this brew with wild game, such as rabbit or venison, because its smooth character would be a great compliment to the "wild" nature of game. cb23 (97), St. louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Poured a strange amber brown color that looked like vomit. Not much of a head or nose. Slightly yeasty if anything. The taste was of light caramel and biscuit. Toffee maybe. Way to watery, with a disappointing finish and mouthfeel. I would not buy this beer again. It was interesting and it seemed like they almost had a good thing here, but not quite. GaltScat (195), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Hazy amber colored with a medium sized frothy off-white head that was mostly diminishing but left some good lacing on the glass. The aroma was balanced, fruity and sweet. There were notes of apple, caramel and lemon. Lively carbonation and a light dryness. The flavor starts off sweet and remains that way through the medium-long finish. It also takes on a crisp, dryness and alcohol warmth at the finish.
