Commercial Description:
Boulevard Lunar Ale is a cloudy, russet brown beer, with subtle aromatic notes provided by our special proprietary yeast strain. Lunar Ale’s distinctive rounded, mellow flavor is crowned by a crisp, dry finish. The old world art of bottle conditioning creates a secondary fermentation, resulting in a beer that tastes fresher, better, longer.

Really malty, bread-like aroma. Tastes like wheat bread...orowheat to be exact. A little bit of light caramel and banana. Just a tick of bitter and then a watery finish. Not actually bad, but not my favorite. I tried two to make sure, but there’s just not a lot going in this one.

Not a bad effort for a dunkelweizen. Boured with a macro beer head that starts subsiding right away and very little lace. Color is a hazy brownish amber. Aroma is a faint Bavarian style weiss. Some malt in there too. Body’s a bit on the thin side. Slightly sweet tart taste to go along with the aromatic components. Finish is on the sweet tart side too. Could be a session beer if you don’t mind the thin body.

On tap at Ed’s No Name Bar. Had no idea what this was, but was the only interesting tap that I hadn’t had before. Pours Hazy dark copper with a nice beige head. Aroma is spicy and fruity... pumpkin? Tastes very malty and slightly nutty with some brown sugar and a hint of blood. Medium body with an imaginary finish.

Pours with a very large but loose head that quickly receeds. The color is a hazy crimson. Aroma is mild a little roasty with some chlorine and a little bit of spiciness. Flavor is fruity with some nice brown sugar notes, with some good yeastiness, spiciness and some booziness. It’s allright....
