Commercial Description:
Boulevard Lunar Ale is a cloudy, russet brown beer, with subtle aromatic notes provided by our special proprietary yeast strain. Lunar Ale’s distinctive rounded, mellow flavor is crowned by a crisp, dry finish. The old world art of bottle conditioning creates a secondary fermentation, resulting in a beer that tastes fresher, better, longer.

Lightly hops, syrupy maltiness, sickly sweet, fruitness, this was warm (and I was drunk…) when I drank this.

Pours from the bottle to a cloudy reddish brown with decent carbonation, a medium thick white head that lingers to mid-glass and okay lacing. Nose is a malty blend of clove and other spices, cookie dough and biscuits. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and the taste picks up nicely the dough and spices of the nose. As expected at only 5.1%, the alcohol never made itself known, but the finish was long and smooth. Not bad.

Hazy brown amber pour with minimal head. Aroma is wheat and caramel. Tastes funny... tastes like paint.

12oz bottle. Thick orange-brown color. Nice half inch head that sticks around. The aroma is mild, a little doughy with some chocolate banana nuances. Mild and smooth on the palate, with some creamy dark malt notes. A little too earthy to be a straightforward Dunkel, but a little thin compared with most Dunkelweizens. Clean and fresh, a pretty enjoyable beer.

My favorite boulevard. Chocolately taste. Maybe some coffee in there. Very smooth.

Bottle. Pours clear brown with an average, fizzy, light brown head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (caramel, cookie), light hops (herbs), heavy yeast (dough, earth, broth) with notes of cloves, banana, and wheat. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.
