Commercial Description:
Boulevard Lunar Ale is a cloudy, russet brown beer, with subtle aromatic notes provided by our special proprietary yeast strain. Lunar Ale’s distinctive rounded, mellow flavor is crowned by a crisp, dry finish. The old world art of bottle conditioning creates a secondary fermentation, resulting in a beer that tastes fresher, better, longer.

Bottle from bro/sis-in-law back from Kansas. Pours muddy amber small tan head. Fruity aroma, weak banana taste with some grainy and yeasty flavours throughout but a little watery overall. Nothing special but pretty good beer.

A: Pours a nice copper hue with a nice tall white head with tinges of tan. Okay retention but no lace noted. S: Banana and clove dominate. T: Banana with notes of lemon zest. Nice blast of clove. M: Fairly thin, and not very carbonated for the style.

12 oz Bottle. Pours a copper hue with smallish, off white frothy head. A very mild hop/malt blend for the aroma. Light caramel notes tasted in very smooth presentation. Enjoyed the unique blend of hops and roasted malt in this very drinkable offering.

Bottle. Caramel malt aroma. Clear copper color with small head. Light caramel malt flavor with light lemon hops finish. Watery body. No apparent esters. Easy drinking beer - not many typical weizen characteristics though.

Short 12oz twist-off bottle. Copper color. Aroma of toasted grain and bananas. Yum, sweet banana bread. Flavor of toasted grain, some sweet fruit. A good bit of sweet banana flavor. A nice touch of sweet malt. Not much spice in the finish. Overall it is kinda watered down.

Pleasant aroma of banana bread and cloves with another spice; nutmeg, maybe. Citrus and grassy hop notes are present in the nose, as well. Pours a clear amber with a thin head but somehow manages to appear muddy. Taste is sweet and complex, but not in a good way. Theres a lot, too much, going on in this beer. The end result is garbled. Medium bodied with an oily texture and rather flat carbonation. LIngering sweet finish, not crisp and dry as advertised. I like where Boulevard was attempting to go with this but it feels as though they overreached. Worth trying once.

Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber/light brown body. Large, creamy, off-white head. Lasting. Aroma is of spicy wheat...some clove and miscellaneous spice. Flavor contains more light, muddy wheat malt with hints of yeast spiciness. Light, somewhat thin bodied. Average carbonation. Moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Overall drinkable and pleasant enough, but fairly muddy and confusing.

bottle from citywide. Pours a pretty much clear copper with a small cream colored head. head fades quickly. Aroma of bread, toast, spices, doughy malts, and banana. Flavor is much the same, with some caramel and creamy banana. Not bad. Not terribly exciting, but i enjoyed drinking this. Wouldn’t go out of my way to get it again though.
