| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 7, 2009 On tap. Poured a dull light brownish copper color with virtually no head or lacing. The aroma was malt, sweet sugars and a light bit of citrusy hops. The flavor was sweet malts, light spice and a bit of twangy citrus hops at the end. Thin, boring mouthfeel. A finish that lingered with sweetness and soapiness. Meh. CanIHave4Beers (908), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Kind of a odd variation on the style, but plesant none the less. Pours clear and golden with a medium head and a little lace. The aroma is honey fresh hay and some malty sweetness. The flavor is nice and malty kind of sweet but blanaced by a bit of a citrusy hop presence with some light graininess.
Very light for a Maibock not very complex and not terribly exciting. I will say it’s something I can see myself drinking again but not with a terrible lot of frequency. Refreshing but not exciting. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
