That being said... pours a very pretty dark amber with orange highlights. Relatively foamy head that lasted halfway down. Aroma is mildly spiced dark cherries, biscuity malts, light sugar. Flavor is also some cherry and light sugars, but I did not pick up the complexity that normally accompanies molasses. A bit-over carbonated and a bit of a bitter finish lacking any of the winter spice. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2008 Bottle. Very dark brown body with a lasting foamy off white head. Very nice looking beer. Nose-dusty, peanut shells, cheap amber LME. Taste-surprisingly big flavor, high CO2, unsweet cherry liquor, low to medium alcohol, very light hops on the backend, lingering bitter, apple, unrefined raw brown sugar, berry skins, Alka-Seltzer, soy sauce, bile on the back end. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Pours a rich cloudy muddy brown color with a beige lasting head. Sweet caramel and chocolatey toffee malt with a big hit of piney hops. Medium to light bodied with slightly too much carbonation that made it fizzy and foamy in the mouth. Hoppy and piney fresh taste along with rich, toasty malt. Good overall. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Pours dark amber with a mostly receding wispy tan head. Aroma of floral citrus, resinous toffee, earthy malt. Taste is floral hops, mild citrus, toffee and a lightly sticky maltiness. Full bodied, lightly sticky and resinous with moderate carbonation. Not bad, but still haven’t been terribly impressed by Boulevard. Botnik (110), Carrollton, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2008 12 oz bottle from tjthresh, thanks Tom. Pours a reddish amber with a large foamy off off white head that settles quickly and leaves a small lacing of head that lasts till the beer is gone. Aroma of chocolate malts, slight spice..nutmeg and ginger perhaps a touch of cinnamon. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a refreshing feel. Malty based flavor with notes of bread, nutts and toffee. Nice seasonal beer that doesn’t overpower with spices. puggy211 (596), cordova, Tennessee, USA
