Commercial Description:
Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s special offering for the holiday season. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the "spiciness" of Chinook hops.

Bottled (thanks heemer77!). Amber colour, mediumsized beuige creamy head. Aroma is hops, malts, some grass and caramel. Flavour is really flowery hops with much grass. Also some burnt sugary hints in the flavour.

Ruby dark color, off-white small steady head. Bready hoppy, a bit sweetish aroma. Nutty hoppy, rye-bread hoppy, also a bit sweetish with caramelly notes. Mix of brown ale and IPA.

Had this beer on 6/23/2000. Aroma is like a wine with roasted malt in it. Color is a hazy brown with light carbonation and head. Taste is nutty, woody, and a bit roasted. Starting with medium body that goes down with a nutty flavor. Finish is a mildly roasted malt flavor that has a wood like flavor in it and is followed up by a slight winey tang.

This one has alot of nuts and alot of spices, its almost like a nut brown with some ginger or something in it. Interesting but understated. Not really a session beer as id only have one in a sitting due ot the weird spices.

Pours a very deep red. Not much light can get through this brew. Aroma is faint, almost nothing. There’s a ghost of the chinooks and some spice. The flavor is a bit nutty, a bit hoppy, some carbination, and a hint of alchohol.

Brown and clear. Not much head. Smells nice, with spicy and sweet notes. Taste though is too spicy for me. A definite blend of many flavors, but with no balance.
