| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 18, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a dark copper color with a decent tan head. A couple of different malts dominates the flavor. Brown sugar, burnt caramel, and floral hops give this beer a pretty unique flavor for a holiday ale. This is probably one of my favorite holiday ales that I’ve tried this year. Definitely worth a try. DJC (238), USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2006 Updated: Nov 26, 20072007 version: Cloudy, dark amber body, with a very thin, off-white head. Hardly any lacing. Citrus, pine, and malt in the nose; rather faint, but clean and inviting. Hop bitterness and some sweet malts in the initial flavor, and the finish is dominated by dry bitter hops with a somewhat creamy base. Great carbonation and weight. This beer is definitely better after it sits in your glass for a few minutes, so please be patient. Happy holidays! Doon (90), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 17, 2006 Bottle. Boulevard has some great beers. This is perhaps the best! It is a dark reddish brown, whith good aroma, and nice mouthfeel and just a hint of spice. A perfect winter beer. At 224 calories, better drink this one slowly! mreusch (741), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Bottle, pours slightly cloudy deep amber color with a moderate creamy tan head that dissipates; good lacing. Aroma of hops, malt, some yeast and slight molasses. Has a bit of a hops bite that tames quickly as the malt takes over on the finish. Nothing earth shattering or complex, but overall a nice balance and a good holiday beer. Very drinkable. GeneralGao (3062), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Draught at Old Chicago in Coralville, IA. Attractive hazy reddish-brown color with thick bubbly off white head that laced the glass. Sprucy hop aroma and flavor balanced by sweet malt and a hint of alcohol. I though this one was stronger than 6%. Very tasty beer. barleyPops (1081), Quad-Cities, Illinois, USA
