Has a decent spiced malt arome to it, maybe some nutmeg and ginger? Flavor is roughly the same with a decent hop finish to it. Very good winter brew in my opinion. flemdawg (485), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2005 Hazy reddish brown color, like cider, with a thin off white to light tan head. The aroma was spiced apples, cherries, some wheat and sour grapes. Moslty wheaty in the taste with a bit of honey, some apples and a bitter wheaty finish. Not much in the way of a mouth feel, but almost watery though. Not outstanding but not horrible. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 31, 2005 I’m sorry but I don’t recall who it was that sent me this beer. I only know that it was acquired in a trade with someone that was very cool!
Bottled in 2003
Pours a silty mahogany colored body with an initially fluffy russet head.. later fades to nothing. The aroma is largely malty... big, sweet, and fruity. There is a vast presence of caramel, and other cooked sugars. There truly is a nice almond note that brings a fantastic nuttiness to the brew. You know… this is the kind of beer I would like to see cask conditioned in a bourbon barrel. Anyway, there are nice notes of vanilla and macadamia nut… I’m really digging this one, and it’s only getting tastier as it warms. I’m starting to taste pecan pie! 1FastSTi (2560), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 29, 2005 The aroma is a lightly hopped beer that is filled with evergreen trees and grapefruit. The aroma has a mild nutty malt. Cherry? Corriander? I wish the aroma was more powerful.
The appearance is a body that is cloudy medium brown color with a light brown/off-white head that is average and frothy. There is virtually no lacing on this lasting head.
The flavor is initially lightly sweet and nutty. The finish is moderately bitter/acidic/sour. It is an average finish length.
The palate is lightly syrupy with a soft carbonation.
Overall, not a bad beer, just not really exciting. It doesn’t taste, smell, or look bad. Mostly boring.
