Aroma is sweet, toffee, spicy (ginger). Taste is medium sweet, dominated by toffee, but also spicy (ginger+?), some herbal, finishing medium grapefruit. Medium body, slightly acidic. Nice take on the winter warmer style (7/4/7/4/14). (7-20-03, 2002 bottle): Floatie-filled murky brown body with creamy tan head. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, spicy. Ruby dark color, off-white small steady head. Bready hoppy, a bit sweetish aroma. Nutty hoppy, rye-bread hoppy, also a bit sweetish with caramelly notes. Mix of brown ale and IPA.
