Commercial Description:
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, medium-bodied and well hopped ale with year-round appeal. We include caramel malt in the recipe to provide a rich flavor and amber color. Pale Ale is the first beer we produced and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Was quite hoppy for a pale ale, more so than I had expected. This did not sit well with me.

(bottle BB 2/21/09): Pours a very clear, very light amber colired body, with a huge cremy white head, lastingish. Nutty malty aroma, wheaty/grainy smell. Dry aroma, weakish. Dry malty nutty taste. Grainy dry taste. Carbonated. Somewhat tasty session-like.

Bottle best by 01/31/09. Poured golden with an off-white head that settle to nothing. Grainy aroma with some light citrus hops. The flavor found light malts, mixed with plenty of citrus. Light body, tingly carbonation, lasting bitter citrus aftertaste. This one was pretty much all over the place. No consistency.

clear copper color, small off-white head, nice lace. nose of nice grapefruit hops. flavor is grapefruity hops, caramel, even a note of pine. medium bodied, mildly bitter finish. a pleasant APA, with an interestingly lingering bitter finish. i’ll have more than one. luckily i purchased a 6 pack from the convenience store down the block from my downtown st. louis hotel.

Bottle. A decent APA. Yellowish to orange in color no head. Decent beer. Smooth not that hoppy of a beer.

Great beer, has a good balance of hops, but I’m a fan of IPA’s so there could be a little more. Has a nice copper color and a perfect white head. Aroma isn’t too strong, unlike an IPA. Anything Boulevard is a great.

On tap at the flying saucer in KC. Pours a light copper body with a nice, creamy white head that dissipates slowly and remains moderately laced. Aroma is mainly caramel malts and fruity. Some hoppiness to it. Flavor is very fruity and caramel malty as well. Decent hop taste for a widely available pale ale. Palate is easy drinking, medium bodied, and very clean. Overall, one of my all time favorite go to beers. Very reliable.
