| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2008 The aroma was much more malty than hoppy, which was odd considering this pale was meant to be well-hopped. Not bad, but the grain really stood out here.
The appearance was quite good, clear but not too clear, and nice effervescence running the length of the glass. Head retention also good.
Flavor left a little to be desired, but overall pretty good. Again the malt really takes over the taste buds, but there is a good evenness to its bittering. Aftertaste is also over shadowed by the malty overtones.
Palate is a bit heavy for its style, carbonation is fine, but sits a bit too heavy for a pale.
Overall, pretty good pale, could tone down the malt and increase the hops if that is what Boulevard is going for here. But a pretty decent, drinkable pale. craftycarl21 (576), South Hero, Vermont, USA

Flavor consists mostly of hops and citrus, with a nice full mouthfeel at first sip, lingers nicely. A good pale ale. SODAK14 (107), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2008 An OK beer...or maybe I’m not a fan pale ale beers. Most notable thing was the unusual rust/dark orange color. Taste was alright but left a dry after taste..not what I prefer. Not a beer I would probably try or recommend. Taste is citrusy hops with some other fruity notes, like pineapple, with a slightly dry and bitter finish. Overall, a mild, refreshing, albeit average, ale.
