Aroma was bready and fruity; also caramel, honey and something I couldn’t define. Pretty strong carbonation, but not detrimentally. Flavor was pretty good; bread, caramel and yeast; also fruit, citrus and a bit of sweetness. Fairly enjoyable from a style that I find boring these days. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA

Smell at first was pretty nice, and hoppy, but after a minute it turned to a very astringent smelling hops and honey like malt. Very carbonated, I thought, and hops are quite present all throughout the tasting of it. Finishes with a touch of sweetness, but the alcohol like chemical presence is a little offputing and keep this from being an above average pale in my opinion. drawde (115), San Francisco, California, USA

Medium to thin yellow head.
Light bready scent.
Murky deep orange to light brown.
Taste is stinging yeasty bread dough and flour with solid stinging aftertaste.
Good pale ale, but not as good as the Sierra. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 17, 2007 12 oz bottle picked up in South Dakota as a sample box. This one surprised me. Very good IPA with decent flavors of hops and citrus. Some caramel sweetness detected which balanced out the minimal bitterness I detected. alexsdad06 (1106), Ohio, USA

Pours a slightly hazy light amber color with a medium lasting creamy off white head. Visable carbonation. The aroma is mainly caramel malt and hops. The flavor is a mix of light fruitiness, light hoppy bitterness, and Lipton tea. Light/medium mouthfeel. Not much going on. It is drinkable on yet another Saturday of 90 degree temps and high humidity. HopHeadinAZ (120), USA

The head is solid but resolves into a crown of ivory foam. The flavor is a little fruity with hints of hops. Overall a decent PA but not exceptional. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 16, 2007 Bottle from trade at NEPA case split club. This is okay. It has a pleasant finish that has a touch of citrus, some bitter hops and decent carbonation. I wouldn’t say well hopped as the hops seem to sink rather than swim. I don’t know if its water or the yeast which does this. The aroma is better than the flavor as it has a floral quality to it which stands out more than the flavors which I had to dig for a bit. Overall, a solid but not interesting brew.
