Poured a slightly hazy light copper topped by a rocky white head. Flavor was mildly hoppy with light character sweet malts. I was expecting something a bit more, maybe more body, but it wasn’t there. It does go good with bar-b-que, though. MullMan (1081), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 3, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Very nice, strong, fruity, floral hops aroma: raspberry, rhubarb, tangerine. Sweet malt scent. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate amount of off-white head. American hops dominate the flavor, but they remain subdued. Some apple presence. Surprisingly subtle flavors given the powerful aroma. Slightly off, dull, bitter aftertaste, perhaps due to the live yeast. Medium body. Smooth in the palate. Boulevard Pale Ale has a great smell. Otherwise, it is an average-at-best, forgettable beer. thefederalist (226), Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA

Aroma is more malty than hoppy, but there are some nice hops in the flavor. Overall, well balanced, but a tad simple. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 24, 2007 This is just a solid beer, and Boulevards flagship. For me, it is the gateway beer that got me interested in craft beer. Aroma is very light citrus and caramel, taste is lightly hopped and more malts than anything. A very quaffable beer that’s good in any season. keith0718 (159), Olathe, Kansas, USA

Taste has just the right maltiness with an even and strong citrusy bitterness from start to finish. madscotsman (147), Fairview Heights, Illinois, USA
