Commercial Description:
Boulevard Pale Ale is a smooth, fruity, medium-bodied and well hopped ale with year-round appeal. We include caramel malt in the recipe to provide a rich flavor and amber color. Pale Ale is the first beer we produced and continues to be a perennial favorite.

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Clear amber, average head. aroma of toffee with restrained hoppiness. Dryish and light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Medium bitterness. Another Boulevard beer that aims for balance, and succeeds.

Pale orange pour with a cap of ivory head. Pleasant citrus rind hop aroma. Brisk hop bitterness with a nice warm malt backbone. Pleasantly mouthfilling without being heavy. This is a solid APA. Basic, but well crafted and balanced. Lots of breweries seem to do an APA as a toss-off beer, but this isn’t one of those.

Golden color with a little hazing, medium white head that lasts. Sweet aroma and kind of bitter sweet citrus flavor. Not my favorite Boulevard product but certainly not a bad beer. Very drinkable but not something that I would go out of my way to drink.

Pours golden with a nice white head. Flavor is a little sweet malt, with citrus and grassy notes. Somewhat bready. Hops are mild. Not great, but not awful. Hows that for a wishy washy rating?

12 oz bottle. Best Before 10/02/05. Yellow gold with continual CO2 rising woth a off white, longstanding head. Very thinck lacing. Some hazy. Grainy straw and horsey aromas. Very little hops aroma. Maybe some spice. Estery. Estersy come thru in the flavor also. Bready. Mild hop flavor. Med-full bodied and prickly carb. Flavor does not linger. BLVD Pale Ale used to be so much better before they started brewing for dollars.

Sent by a friend in Kansas. It’s an interesting pale ale, but the hops are a bit mild for my taste, but give it a nice grassiness. Not as rich a beer as I’d hoped for, but very drinkable.

Pours to a rich yellow golden body with a thick creamy frothy off-white head. Retains excellent lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, citrusy. Strong, but not complex. The flavor is citrusy (lemon, lime, orange) with an off grainyness to it. I can’t put my finger on what the odd flavor is vinegar + grass hops? Palate is light to medium with a watery body and a light bitter finish. There’s a slight chalkiness to it. Overall, not bad, just not what I’d want to drink everyday.

Suprisingly sweet beer for an ale, although had a sourness to its finish. I thought that it may have been a little bit too sweet even, but I am new to good beers and so still am accustomed to macros. Thought the head lasted a while although it was very thin. A nice amber/copper color.
