On tap as a tester at the Boulevard Brewery. Pours a pale yellow, see-through body with a nice sized, white head. Hard to tell the actual size of the head and the amount of lacing it leaves in a taster glass, but it looks alright for now. Good amount of rising carbonation. Aroma was surprisingly pleasant! Lots of fresh, grassy hops making this a fine smelling pils. Some sweet bread malt backing making it a very well rounded smelling pils. I just had the pale ale fresh on tap and I would almost go as far as saying the pils smelled hoppier. Flavor is just as pleasant as the aroma. Short and quick bread malts with a pale sweet lingering taste. Hops are very fresh with a moderate grass while lingering very lightly. Palate is light with a slight carbonated tickle. Overall, I am rating this based on style, and for a pils, this was damn good. Lots of herbal, grassy hops and a very refreshing body. I really think people should rate this based on style, not the obvious fact that a pils is lighter and lacking the malt/hop taste that most people look for in a craft beer. I can easily see myself drinking this on a hot, muggy, 100 degree summer day here in KC. This is just as good as Victory’s Prima Pils and I hope to see it in bottles soon.

Not a pilsner fan. But this one is very drinkable. Clean and crispy. Tasty. Some malt in the background.

Pours gold with a white head. Smells of sweet malt, perfumy, some fruity hints. Tastes of pilsner malt, some peppery splashes, some wildflower hints, a fruity touch on the finish.

Post GTMW burned out after dinner beer in the hotel room, thanks csbosox: Clean golden hue with a small fizzy head. The aroma has notes of herbal and grassy hops, hint of pear and apple esters, biscuity and grainy malts. The taste is crisp noble hops, grainy malts, and some herbal spicy tones upon the finish. The mouth feel is nice and lively, mostly clean and crisp. Very well played for the style, good solid brew.

On tap at the 2008 Boulevard Microbrewers Festival. The pour was clear golden with some white head. Corn and noble hops in the nose. Lots of hop flavor with decent pilsner malt character. Medium body. High carbonation. Dry finish. Good beer.

On tap at the LBG brewfest in last September. Brilliant gold color. Lots of herbal and earthy hops in the aroma along with a biscuty background. Maybe a touch too grassy. A bit of biscut & malt sweetness along with a strong hop presence, all earthy and herbal. This was the newer (and better) test batch.

Bottled. Poured clear, brighter golden with a short-lived cap of white head. The aroma was fresh and delightful with lemon zest and a floral bouquet over bread and honey maltage.. simple, but well executed. The flavor opened with that same lemon zest, rolling into honey sweetness at the core.. lemon candy and light floral bitterness around.. quick, crisp, refreshing finish. Light-bodied with tight carbonation on the palate.. fresh impression and tasty. Just what I want from my pilseners.

12oz. test bottling, thanks to John Bryan! Aroma features a blend of grassy, herbal, spicy hop, pale, grainy, malt and some very light, doughy yeast. Light golden in color with a faint greenish cast, head is very fine, white and lasting. Flavor is similarly well-balanced between the dry, crackery, bready malts and moderately bitter, herbal hop character. Finish is snappy and crisp with a dry, appropriately effervescent feel, lingering peppery spice and a light-medium body. Good Pils and a nice warm-weather choice.
