A nice brew. potbeercollege (246), Boulder, Colorado, USA Oct 27, 2009 750 ml. A marz atmosphere yellow orange cloudy atmosphere. Lacy. Aroma has notes of apple, earthy, sawdust wood, Citrusy, caramel, alcohol, and yeast. Tingling finish lingers light bitter and finishes very dry. Flavor starts spicy, soft, sweet, and ends bitter and with light biting. Dry and only dry changeup45 (782), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 26, 2009 Fairly clear golden color with a booming white head. The aroma is funk, floral and fresh fruits, I’m thinking pear, apple and banana. Light-bodied, crisp and very refreshing. The flavors are barnyard funk and fruity, mostly the same noted in the aroma with perhaps the addition of peaches. I pick up some clove as well. A light acidic spice mixes in nicely bringing the flavors together. This isn’t overly complex but just flat out tasty and drinkable with no real flaw and I’m fine with that. A damn fine drink really. deyholla (504), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Oct 26, 2009 Bottle. Pours a light gold with a thick white head. Aroma is full of yeast with fruity citrus notes and some floral notes. Flavor starts with grapefruit notes and becomes yeasty with slight floral notes. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Dry, Medium to full body, watery turning velvety texture, lively carbonation. The beer starts sweet with tastes of orange and pineapple, but turns nicely bitter with a lingering flavor of flowers in the finish. The bitterness lasts. Slightly sour and dry taste with lots fruity notes. A little sugar to finish. Very crisp and refershing. eboats (887), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Oct 2, 2009 Decent offering, but lacks anything to set it apart. Middle tier Saison that makes it very drinkable, but does not have anything to set itself apart from others brewed in this style.
