Taste is the same with some green apple and a slightly dry finish. Nice trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Pours light gold with a bit of haze and a big white head. Yeasty banana, clove, coriander, and bread in the aroma. Spicier than the nose advertises; pepper and citrus flavors all over the place. Some apple tartness, but this is driven home by an unexpected over-the-top carbonation. Fruity and spicy, just a bit out of whack. Boutip (2399), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Bottle: Poured a hazy shiny blonde color ale with a huge pure white foamy head with good retention and even some lacing. Aroma consists of fruity and light funky ester with a solid floral malt backbone. Taste is also a well balanced mix between some floral malt with some light fruity ester and a somewhat yeasty spicy finish. Full body with some great carbonation and no alcohol could be detected. Very well done and another winner from a brewery that I would like to taste more beers from. BMan1113VR (2946), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 28, 2008 Bottle from batch 508060. Pours with a huge, rocky, white head and a clear yellow body. Good lacing from the head. Aroma of apples, dreyness, pepper, yeasty spiceyness, and a bit of bread and a touch of funk. My roomate said it smelled a bit like a Wit, but I didn’t really get much of that. Taste is lightly sweet with pepper, pears and apples. Lively carbonation and a bit dry. Good yeast profile, a nice, fruity saison. DaSilky1 (2025), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Hazy yellow beer. Frothy white head. Nose predominately yeasty in a spicy type way..coriander, clove, banana, and an underlying sweetness. Flavors mirror the nose, spicy banana-like yeast..creamy texture, almost bread pudding-like. All in all, the yeast character is somewhat on the spicy side of things for my tastes, however, it certainly isnt overly spicy like some yeast strains (STONE in particular)..the flavors of the beer also have a somewhat lemony background to them and this spruces up the experience. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 23, 2008 Excellent pour, hazy yellow with a very tall rocky white head. Bright nose of hops, citrus, and peppery dry spice. Crisp palate, dry and nice high carbonation to bring the spiciness out well. Good balance overall with a lot of spicy esters that keep this beer refreshing and delicious, one of the best saisons i’ve had in a while. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 12, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow with a huge head. Big peppery hops on the nose, some hay and grass. Dry grassy hop flavor, hay, leaves and perhaps a bit of dirty. Finishes dry and lightly bitter. The taste and the finish were cleaner and smoother than the really eventful aroma. Good fluffy mouthfeel. Decent beer with the aroma outweighing all aspects mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
