Pours a deep golden color, completely hazed with a two finger off white head. Nose of spice, yeast and some funky citrus fruit. Flavor was much of the same with more emphasis on the spice. Beer was medium in body with a fairly smooth ad spicy finish. KAggie97 (2454), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice, cloudy yellow with an aroma of honey-glazed hay and grass. A coppery hops presence is immediately noticeable in the taste, followed by a sour herbal blend that seems a bit stale. Average mouthfeel. Not at all what Ilook for in a saison. Big disappointment from a great brewery. biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bottle. Nice big fluffy head tops a well carbonated haze pale gold pour. Spicy wheat aroma with some lemon. Very lemony in flavor with sharp and spicy hops and a bit of geranium. Nice body with balancing malt sweetness. Bitter finish. JK (2952), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bitter hop aroma. Cloudy gold color. A little sweet, but with bitterness and yeast. The yeast gives some weird aroma, but this is much more mild than I expected. Good palate. swanmann (307), Norman, Oklahoma, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 29, 2008 Sample at J Gumbos Aug 2008 Indy tasting - Aroma is sweet bread dough, light citrus and spice. Pours cloudy yellow with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches with more funk that I expect in a good saison. Palate is creamy and soft. Tasty brew. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow color with a medium white head. The aroma is citric, spicy and somewhat funky. Very good flavor of hops, spices, citrus and some funk, there’s some mild bitterness in the end. The body is medium with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. I prefer the Saison with Brett, but this is still an excellent saison.
