Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity Belgian malt with some floral grassy hops. Body starts with a decent malty sweetness and lots of grassy earthy hops. Finishes drier with an authentic Belgian yeastiness. A pretty true to style and drinkable saison. unclemattie (2430), Georgia, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2008 Updated: Jul 1, 2008750ml bottle. thanks to gregis for this! pours light slightly hazy golden with foamy white head. aroma is grainy, spicy, farmhousey, and grassy. flavor is slightly sweet, grainy, biscuity, hay, spicy hop finish. lively carbonation and full mouth feel. perhaps a little too sweet and not dry enough. a solid classic example of the style which is really impressive. reminisent of saison dupont. now how bout some brett on this? 3.7.
7/1/08, thanks to holdenn for sharing. this time it came off very straight forward, clean, american, and so drinkable. nothing really rustic or farmhousey about it though. tasty enough.3.6. greedycheater (80), Oklahoma, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 5, 2008 Murky yellow pour with a healthy stark white head that lasts through dinner. Light barley aroma with hints of fruit - peach or apricot perhaps. Medium bodied. Mildly bitter and hoppy to start with none of the typical punch-you-in-mouth effect of brews dominated by hops. Flows creamy over the tongue and hits the back of the mouth with a little dry hop burst. The same sensation I got from Red Seal, only a lot better. And a lot better than the popular wheat they brew. thegreenrooster (1842), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2008 Pour is a bright yellow with a large white head. Aroma is yeasty and spice but the main thing i get is a strong citrus. Flavor is good with some peppery spice, yeastyness and again a strong citrus. After the swallow it leaves the musty barnyard funk on the tounge. A very tasty and heavily carbonated beer. Now Im going to have saison burps all night. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA
