| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bronze, lacey head that climbs the glass, and ebullient body. Swaying fields of wheat and corn pique the nose. The flavor has a light crystal malt crispness, with wheaty overtones. Grassy and earthy notes unfurl. Restrained and straightforward, but complex enough to keep you interested. Refreshing and enjoyable. Pastor (509), Maine, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Bottle split three ways into tulip glasses. It had a short lived white head that trailed to a ring of bubbles around the glass. The color of the brew was a slightly hazy gold to orange.
Aromas of spices, citrus and a slight funk filled my nostrils. The flavors were a little citrus with a strong dry pepper finish. The body felt medium to light to me with just the right amount of carbonation for my tongue.
A highly drinkable brew the alcohol did not show in it at all.
I think this is a good Saison nothing over the top for the style but better than some others.

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 27, 2009 Big bottle. Great lasting clumpy head. Big Saison nose. Great flavour. One of my favourite Saisons. This is delicious and with an ABV you can have more than one. Ughsmash (4054), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2009 750mL bottle. Poured crystal-clear honeyed orange with a creamy cap of white head, fine lacing, and rising carbonation.. looked quite nice. The aroma picked up mild, grated lemon zest, dirty earth, and floral character over soft pale malts, bready notes, and a pinch of honey.. elegant. The flavor had tangier lemon and sharper bitterness than the nose indicated, losing a little of its balance.. bready pils malts and some honey at the core, and the surrounding bitterness was slightly catty and floral.. dry, wheaty notes right on the outside.. finished with more of the hops and yeast. Medium-bodied with rolling carbonation on the palate.. replace some of the hops with more peppery yeast, and this would have been a total winner. eaglefan538 (2394), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Bottle from theisti. Shared at a Not so secret Monday Night tasting at SL - but no Robert???? The pour was golden in color, modest head for a saison. The aroma was light and wheaty, gentle spices. The flavor was wheaty, spiced (lightly), bananas, grass, an easy drinker, slight hop zing in the finish. Spices could have been stronger, wanted more pepper, but overall this was pleasant and easy drinking even if not a perfect Saison. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Pours a mostly clear yellow gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is light, with notes of citrus, clove and peppery spice. Flavor has fruity notes and a slight funkiness. Medium bodied and, IMHO, overly carbonated. Refreshing, but nothing too special.
