Poured a medium and hazy golden / yellow color with a large sized white head. Aromas of yeast, spices, and fruity. I was also getting some funkiness in there. Tastes of fruits, apples, spices, and citrus. Rastacouere (5561), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Objectively speaking:
An awesome example of which one glass was not enough.
I like:
Very fresh opening. Healthy white head. Charming meringue notes combine with the wheat to form a remarkably refreshing package. The yeast whispers spicy messages. Crisp hay-like maltiness. Remarkably attenuated for an American example.
I dislike:
I only dislike how hard it is to take possession of.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 Pours a transparent golden with a frothy well-lcaing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet biscuity Belgian malt with some floral grassy hops. Body starts with a decent malty sweetness and lots of grassy earthy hops. Finishes drier with an authentic Belgian yeastiness. A pretty true to style and drinkable saison. hopscotch (5507), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Cloudy, straw-colored ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Spicy, yeasty essences of coriander, citrus fruit, white pepper and pale grains. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Spicy and fairly well-bittered. Lengthy, bitter/dry finish. Not at all my thing. Kudos to PhillyBeer2112 for bringing this one to share! The final chapter of the Smokestack series for me. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Fresh herbal hops mingle with meticulous bubblegum phenols as citrusy fruitiness and minty Saaz-y bitterness jig and jive ad vitam aeternam. This Saison is so cohesive and easygoing, I would not be able to get tired of it.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam straddles the hazy pale blond.
-The body is fluffy and light enough to be make this exceedingly drinkable.
-The entire flavor profile is balanced and perfectly organized.
-Effervescence is comfortable and serves the body beautifully.
-Some milky undertones come from the yeast.
