The aroma is funk, floral and fresh fruits, I’m thinking pear, apple and banana. Light-bodied, crisp and very refreshing. The flavors are barnyard funk and fruity, mostly the same noted in the aroma with perhaps the addition of peaches. I pick up some clove as well. A light acidic spice mixes in nicely bringing the flavors together. This isn’t overly complex but just flat out tasty and drinkable with no real flaw and I’m fine with that. A damn fine drink really.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2009 This is the latest in my Saison adventure. It reminds me of the Le Merle I like. Pour orange with a fluffy head. It tastes of citrus and spices but seems less harsh than Le Merle. It’s a good Saison and I’m already looking for my next. DigitalMan (119), Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Basic unfiltered wheat beer color. Nice lasting white head with lacing. Aroma is faint but pleasant. Flavor is mild and very smooth. Not bad, but not as aggressive as the other Boulevard Smokestack beers I’ve had. JAG55 (17), O’Fallon, Missouri, USA

I’m not familiar with saisons but this was a nice drinkable beer. I like this whole Smokestack series of brews from Boulevard. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 24, 2009 750 ml bottle courtesy redlight. Pours a hazy golden yellow color with a small, foamy white head that settles quickly leaving spots of lace behind. The aroma shows a sweet pale malt base along with notes of fresh floral and grassy hops, spices, and some corn. The flavor follows with chamomile and citrus fruit balanced out by the floral hops and the sweet pale malts. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation with a dry, spicy finish. This one drinks real easy. Pretty nice saison, but nothing too crazy. redlight (1495), Winter Park, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Chamomile and spices on the nose with slight funk, very nice. Pours cloudy blonde with a thick white head. Chamomile comes out right away with light fruit notes and spices, citrus notes with earthy hops. Solid saison! lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 19, 2009 Bottle thanks to Soonah. Lightly hazy, orange yellow with an even white finger of foam. Aroma is musty, spicy, fruit, apples, pears. Taste is floral, fruity, spicy, some alcohol or just strong thinning spiciness. This is nice, but I definitely prefer the Tank 7. thirdeye11 (553), Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2009 ( 750ml bottle) pours very pale yellow, great meringue-like head that lasts and nice coating of the glass. Nose of earth, spicy yeast, citrus hops, lemon zest. Taste of earth, lemon zest, and some sweet malts. Finishes creamy, crisp, earthy with more citrus. Very refreshing. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Bottle: Pours a nice hazy orange with a fizzy white head. The nose is bright and citrusy with lots of earthy peppery notes and yeast esters flying about. Wheat and yeast, spice and herbs in the flavor. A nice bold body and prominent mouthfeel are more than the usual carbonation-forward belgian varieties, which is nice. Tart finish with more pepper herbs and yeast esters. Very nice saison for a bold american attempt. Perhaps a little too heavy on the citrus hops, but that’s about it.
