Commercial Description:
Medium amber in color, Seeyoulator offers a heady, estery banana aroma. A luscious maltiness predominates, with balancing notes from Hallertau hops. Cedar aging lends just a hint of spice to the finish.

Pours a hazy reddish brown. Thin white head with average retention. Aroma is roasted malt and a hint of banana. Flavor is earthy, with caramel malt, peppery spice and a hint of cedar. Lots of alcohol burn. Mouthfull is full and slightly sticky. Gets points for trying something new, but doesn’t really work for me as a doppelbock.

Man, it is hard to find this beer in the database, because of the misspelled "lator." Had at PP Strong Ale Fest 2009. Nice malty sweet. A little buttery barrel aged aroma. Maybe some belgian yeast aroma. Very nice

Bottle from a buddy of mine. Pours a murky light brown with fluffy off-white head. Aroma of nice malt, caramel, light wood, some alcohol spice. Flavor is spicy, malty, some cedar, little caramel and chocolate, some alcohol spice. Mouth feel is medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty stuff, easy drinking as well.

Bottled. Smells of alcohol and grain. Pours light brown with medium off white head. Has fllavors of burnt caramel, alcohol and grape. It is mildly sour with medium sweetness. Overall decent beer with good overal palate, but could have a better finish and more flavor profile.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper/brown/orange with a pretty substantial head. I fit about an inch of liquid and the rest of the glass is full of foam on first pour. Aromas are nice and heavily fruity... loads of pears, apples and peaches with a little caramel... Didn’t see that coming and I don’t know if I want it in my doppelbock, but it smells really nice. Unfortunately, flavor isn’t quite as oddly pleasant in my opinion. It has a pretty decent amount of that fruit presence shining through, but an astringent alcohol and a little bit of yeasty spiciness don’t work well together with it. It seems to me like the three are pulling in different directions and I would guess that if they mellow a bit with age this could be outstanding. As is, it’s not bad, but not a very polished final product.

Bottle thanks to Swalden28. The smell is spices, ceder, celery, malts, yeast, and caramel. The look is clear, amber in color, and has an off white head. The taste is sweet, malts, yeast, and caramel.

Deep caramel, cloudy with an off-white... have you ever heard of a lasting head? Well hear this. It stays around until you’re done enjoying it. Simple Crystal and lighter caramel malt nose. Roasted, molasses, oat malt flavor. Syrupy mouthfeel with a fizzy backend.
