Commercial Description:
The latest addition to the Boulevard family of year-around beers, Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version -- inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A. -- boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping. Ingredients: Pale malt, caramel malt & malted wheat. Magnum, Columbus, Summit, Cascade, Centennial & Pallisade hops. 59 IBUs.

Slightly cloudy golden with a lasting off-white head. Weak citrus aroma with some pine and peach. Dry grapefruit peel flavour with a good bitterness.

Sampled at Stub & Herbs in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a semi-hazy golden orange colored brew with a decent off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma has grapefruit, grassy hops, some multi-grain malt and a touch of funk. Flavor is citrusy, some light multi-grain malt backbone, and some grassy hops. Finish is mildly bitter that slowly disappears. Overall a solid IPA and may be better on draught than bottled.

Clear golden yellow color with thin white frothy head.  Looks light and inviting.  Soapy hop aroma followed by a bitter, clean cascade/centennial hop flavor.  Body is light, cool, and smooth.  Finish is bitter... Great job on the hops!  A very green beer.

Hazy orange with some sediment. Thick white head foams and builds over the rim. Sweet pine, floral and grapefruit aroma, very strong. Taste is pineapple, orange and is pretty sweet but has enough bite to balance it. Very crisp and rich.

There’s been a lot of talk about Boulevard, so I started (as always) with their IPA. It was certainly drinkable and poured a nice orange/gold, but was not as floral or resinous as it was made out to be. A little dry. Not too malty. Nothing to either like or dislike particularly. Maybe I’d like the double better.

Draft at Shiloh in Columbia, Missouri. Pours a cloudy gold color with a medium white head. Aroma of floral hops, grapefruit citrus, caramel, and spice. Hoppy, citrusy flavor with malt and caramel, and pepper for a sharp bite. Light bodied and dry on the finish. Good IPA, and I’d be curious to try the Double Wide next to this one.

Beautiful straw colored, hazy body littered with bit of particulates. Sizable head that was very bubbly, in a soapy kind of manner. Hardly a detectable flavor anywhere in the drink. Not offensive in any way shape or form, just plain as water. Some very light citrus notes and a bit of funked yeast.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured semi transparent orange color, low carbonation, 3 mm white bubblly head formed and tried it’s best to lace. Aroma of citrus and lemon. Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, malt has been slightly sweetened with caramel, hops are there but not overpowering at all, various light fruit sensations in the middle, finish is complete. Bottle may be a little old, but it’s still good.
