Big juicy malt aroma with lots of citrusy hops.
Well balanced but not as complex as the aroma hinted at.

So this is one of the reasons I’ve been looking forward to the trip to St. Louis... and the beer is certainly worthy of some excitement. It won’t blow windows out of cars or anything, but it is a solid IPA and fairly inexpensive. Pours a light orange/amber with a very large head and aromas that show off a nice mix of hops. Grapefruit, mango and pineapple, a bit of a floral hops presence, a little bit of spruce. Flavor is similar... the hops presence is nice and plays well with the malt, but there is not a front-runner among the hops players that bashes you over the head and takes complete control. As is, it is a nice mix and fairly nice. I have noticed a bit of variability between bottles. oakbluff (301), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2009 12 ounce bottle- pours straw golden, very light for the style with a thick two finger head. Nose- caramel sweetness, fragrant hops. Taste- good bitter grapefruit backbone from the hops- perceived bitterness is defintely more than the stated ibu’s. Light flavour from the pale malts. Almost more of a hoppy pale ale than IPA. Chewy and sprtizy mouthfeel and dry finish. bluemooner (237), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is floral and citrus hops and some straw. Flavor is not as hoppy as I would have thought but some floral and citrus hop flavor is present. Other flavors include fruits, grapefruit, and caramel malts. Somewhat bitter hoppy finish. Mediocre India Pale Ale. Trev (887), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA
