Has a cloudy copper golden with a medium white head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a hoppy grapefruit and caramel. Good sticky lacing along the glass. Medium mouthfull with a very smooth hop taste with a nice bitter finish. A very good IPA from Boulevard. lithy (1700), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2009 Hazy orange as the sediment slips in with a loose pure white head. Nice citrus and grassy spicy hop aroma, malt sweetness. Taste is more grassy hops with some caramels, backing it all up. Some fruity esters on the edges and a lingering citrus hop finish. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2009 Hazy orange with some sediment. Thick white head foams and builds over the rim. Sweet pine, floral and grapefruit aroma, very strong. Taste is pineapple, orange and is pretty sweet but has enough bite to balance it. Very crisp and rich. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 10, 2009 Cloudy gold pour with foamy white head and lace. Bready yeastiness and a mild evergreen/grass aroma. A bit of a metallic dominates the taste. A decent bitter but nothing special. I wonder how new this beer was. I will add to my list to re-rate iowaherkeye (1856), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2009 On tap @ Max & Joe’s--thanks for the free beer coharahawk! Clear golden with a onw finger off-white head, good retention. Big grapefruit and pine hops, and a little bit of floral hops as well. There is a bit of a pale caramel malt backbone. Flavor is more piny and resiny at first, but turns more grapefruity later on. Not a lot of malts to be had. Semi-dry finish with bitterness @ a 4-5. Ligght prickly carbonation with a light to medium body. Didn’t really notice any wheat, as I had hoped to. mybrainhurts (213), North Dakota, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 Niiiice interpretation! I can’t go back to the flagship pale ale though... Once you’ve had the single-wide, you’re hooked. Great balance of hops on the nose and the mouth. I particularly like the way you get more hops in the nose than on the palate -- It won’t knock you over with hops like you’re putting hops in a juicer. Great beer to drink and enjoy the aroma. jumpjet2k (147), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle. Golden-amber color with a nice-sized fluffy off-white head. Citrusy-pine aroma. On the tongue it’s less hoppy than the aroma leads one to expect, but overall well balanced with the malt. Good creamy mouthfeel. It’s not especially bitter, nor does it have any particular notes of interest in the flavor or aroma. Nevertheless, it’s a well-made IPA. If I want something around this level of hoppiness, though, I’ll pick Stone IPA over this one.
