Apr 18, 2009 From a bottle. Poured a hazy gold with a medium head. Aroma of pine and hops. Flavor was really bitter, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Finish was pretty solid, but left me wanting something more. Very good brew, especially for the price.

Apr 16, 2009 12 oz bottle, best by 8/1/09. Pours a glowing hazy golden with a thick creamy head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is bready malts and grassy hops with a little pine and fruit.
The flavor is a little subdued and watery. It’s got some floral spicy tarry hops with a tinge of sweet fruity malts that leads to a kind of flavorless bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with some sharp carbonation.
Overall, this IPA is not up my alley. It seems like a lot of the nose and taste is washed out except for the tarry bitterness in the aftertaste.

Apr 16, 2009 Bottle, pours a cloudy lighter color with a lot of white billowy head. Nice citrus hop notes, low malts, good a nice IPA but not unforgettable.

Apr 15, 2009 Bottle in trade from FlssmrBrewAlum. Thanks! Pours golden with a lasting pillowy white head. Smell is grapefruit, citrus, and very clean hops. Nice. Taste is clean, with some light bready malt and a clean refreshing hop bitterness. A hint of dry citrus, and melon in the flavor and a lightly bready finish. Medium body and slightly prickly to fizzy carbonation. A very drinkable and sessionable IPA.

Apr 15, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy orange/copper with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma with some honey sweetness and malt. Bitter hop flavor up front with a nice malt balance.

Apr 14, 2009 Pours hazy orange, big fluffy head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts, as well as pine notes. Flavor is uniquely balanced for a recent IPA, caramel malts underly a slow build of hop pine and light fruit, gradually cresting and swinging back to a sweet balance of fruity tones and toast. Nice bitterness without overstatement. Boulevard really does a nice job of making solid representations of certain styles without overdoing it, and this fits their M.O. perfectly.

Apr 14, 2009 Updated: Jun 3, 2009Pours a deep, hazy orange with moderate off-white head. Decent lacing throughout finish. Aroma of orange, pine, citrus with very subtle hint of caramel. More hoppy than malt as an IPA should be. Bitter yes, but only slight to moderate. Very well balanced through the finish. To me one of the better IPAs I’ve tasted, along with O’Dells. Cheers all around, a solid 4 IMO and it’s a Missouri Beer - Show Me Baby!

Apr 14, 2009 Cloudy, golden pour with a two finger white head that sticks around. Decent lacing. Citrus notes with a little malty sweetness. Taste is initially piney bitterness leading to a split second of malt, and then back to the bitterness for the finish. Good balance. Medium body with good carbo. Very decent overall.
