Commercial Description:
The latest addition to the Boulevard family of year-around beers, Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version -- inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A. -- boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping. Ingredients: Pale malt, caramel malt & malted wheat. Magnum, Columbus, Bravo, Cascade, Centennial & Palisade hops. 59 IBUs.

Pours orange with a white head. Very good IPA although a bit more dry than most. Good fruit flavor, but also works in some floral/grass as well. I like the combination of hops in this one. It has a good body to really allow the flavor enjoyment to commence. Rock solid offering.

9/29/09 notes: GABF Friday. Funny to think that I showed up at the Boulevard stand to try this beer, only to have it BLOWN away by their Saisons! Color is clean gold-orange, with a floral and piney aroma. Body is a bit thin for my tastes, but manages to nicely balance floral hop flavors with ample bitterness. I’m not remembering much else, so that must tell you something about the beer, no?

After a GABF weekend full of funk-ass beers, sometimes a man needs a good IPA to set his palate straight - this one was a good choice - hazy gold with a thick, sudsy head - lovely fresh hop aroma, with a healthy dose of grass, herbs, and flowers, a touch of orange peel - quite bitter up front, followed by a lot of orange flavor, and the additional depth of wildflower flavors/herbs - perhaps a touch overly bitter on the end, but still really tasty.

12oz bottle, purchased at The Beer Authority. It’s good, but I could really taste the yeast. Might have been jostled a bit too much on the walk home. Would drink again.

Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a hazy yellow with a large lasting frothy white head. Aroma: Oh yeah! Lots of hops -- resiny, spicy, citrusy and more -- I love it! Flavour: Same, lots of lovely hops, backed by sweet malt -- oh so easy to drink. Medium bodied. A fantastic IPA!

12oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazed medium golden orange with a big sticky off white head leaving some nice lacing. Nose of sweet citrus fruits with some caramel in the background. Flavor was nice and citrusy with a medium bitter finish, nice IPA.

Bottle at home with mes, ian, lucky ronnie and some other party chaps. Alround rating: Pale malt, fairly yeasty again, grassy with some notes of grapefruit. Im guessing its the yeast thats ruined this. Strange as its been settling for a few weeks.

Flying Saucer Fort Worth. Smells like light fruits and hops. Sweet. Not great on the finish.
