Commercial Description:
The latest addition to the Boulevard family of year-around beers, Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version -- inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A. -- boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping. Ingredients: Pale malt, caramel malt & malted wheat. Magnum, Columbus, Bravo, Cascade, Centennial & Palisade hops. 59 IBUs.

Bottle shared from Justin’s Vorrat. Great hoppy nose, tons of aromatics / dry hop notes (definite Cascade and probably Centennial), pig PNW fruitiness wihtout any hint of resin. Light pine, squeezed orange, grapefruit, just love the citrus. Orange-tinged golden pour, clear with a meringue-rocky lacing head. Mildly bready bitterness, assertive but not aggressive or harsh, has the smooth SN texture. Drenched with juice, musty hops. Reminds of a great IPA I just can’t name. Smooth wet hop taste and feel, mellow and dry aftertaste. Delicious and repeatable enough for a case.

Thanks to MrBunn. Pours a murky yellow orange with a reasonable head. Smell is great of Centennials and Cascades. Flavor is great of pine and citrus...some good grapefruit in there. Finishes lightly bitter. When topped with a fresh Centennial hop cone its fantastic.

Light color with a thick head that lasted. Nice aroma. Light for an IPA, with nice hop taste without being overpowering. Little malt flavor, but its done well. Slight bitterness at the end. Very drinkable beer.

Pours clear yellow-orange with a tall frothy head that lasts a long time. Crisp and dry with less malt than expected relative to their pale ale. But certainly not over-the-top in the dry hopping dept. The multiple types of hops are evident. A bit thin and "single-wide" to me, but very drinkable with a decent bitter finish.

Bottle at Cropredy from my GBBF haul... copper ... sweet soapy hop nose ... sweet fruits ... soft hop ... little creamy ... little bitter in linger.

Golden color with a taller, lasting, off-white head. HInts of caramel, upon orange peels and pine sap. Aromas seem thin. Light crisp start. Middle is resinous and just a touch of toffee. Light and fizzy in feel. Perhaps my bottle is too cold. I let the glass warm... Light honey and bit of grass hops. Still fizzy and light. Flavors are better, warmer, but still thin, just like the body. LInger is bitter and has some pine and just straight bitterness which adds little, without much of a malt backbone.

A clear golden colored beer, with a thick foamy white head. The aroma of hop bitter, with fruits like citrus and orange. Smells sweet. The taste is dry, bitter. It’s fruity and sweet. The aftertaste is dry and sweet biter. Overall for me too sweet for a IPA.

Bottle from GBBF 09. Gold, thin white head. Really lovely leafy fresh hop aroma. Grapefruit PNW hop aroma. OK in mouth, with some toast, some sweetness, but lacking a bit of backbone. Could do with a bit more fullness from the malts. Nice hops on finish too. Not sure where it goes. Good though
