Commercial Description:
The latest addition to the Boulevard family of year-around beers, Single-Wide I.P.A. is our take on a style that originated in 18th century Great Britain. This American version -- inspired by our Smokestack Series Double-Wide I.P.A. -- boasts a heady combination of six varieties of hops, some of which were employed for dry-hopping. Ingredients: Pale malt, caramel malt & malted wheat. Magnum, Columbus, Bravo, Cascade, Centennial & Palisade hops. 59 IBUs.

Pours clear yellow-orange with a tall frothy head that lasts a long time. Crisp and dry with less malt than expected relative to their pale ale. But certainly not over-the-top in the dry hopping dept. The multiple types of hops are evident. A bit thin and "single-wide" to me, but very drinkable with a decent bitter finish.

12oz bottle. Bought a sixer and took it to my brothers house NYE 09. He drank the other five and good stuff he said. Had a good citrus aroma. Copper body with off white head. Good citrus grapefruit in the flavor and cool and crisp on the palate. Refreshing brew.

I’m not usually a big fan of IPAs, but this one was pretty good. Hoppy, but not overpowering with hints of floral. Smooth and easy to drink with a bit of sweetness hidden within the hops and a slight bitter finish, but not too bitter. I am not a fan of bitter finishes, but this one is a winner.

12 ounce bottle from Goody Goody. Grassy, hay, citrus nose from a moderately carbonated, nicely laced pour. Hop presence is immediate but not overwhelming. Good balance for a Midwest IPA.

Bottle shared with tashi at my "All my US bottles from GBBF need drinking" tasting, 16th Aug 09. Best Before today! Strong hoppy flavour, but little aroma. Decent dry finish. Great new label.

Was nicely surprised by this brew! Lots of citrusy characteristics throughout, nose, and flavors, this regular IPA is definitely a new found brew for me for sessionable drinking! Bitter, sweet, and nicely balanced, a great take on the IPA from Missouri.

Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Citrus hop aroma. Grapefruit, lemon and malt flavors with a bitter hop finish.

Poured amber with a white head, nose of citrusy hops. Taste is weak grassy hops with slight malt and a little hop bitterness. A fairly weak IPA.

This is a real solid IPA. Not exactly how I like them, but well made nonetheless. It’s a real hazy brew and has more earthy flavors I guess is how I would describe it. Good brew though.
