Batch 68319 Pours brown with a huge beige head. Aroma is sweet, brown sugar, ripe fruit, and a hint of alcohol. Slightly sweet then a bit of spice and a hint of alcohol in the finish as it warms.

My #400 beer and batch #68100 for Boulevard. Pours a cloudy caramel color, a thick tan, off-white head with a very high amount of carbonation and some big chunks of yeast suspended in the brew. Aroma is very sweet with a high caramel candy note, light spicy hops note, some apricot fruitiness in there and finishes with a lith alcohol note. Flavor has an alcohol note throughout the entire tasting. Starts off with a light caramel sweetness, some spicy bitterness in the start as well, some sweet bread malt and slightly yeasty middle and ends with a creamy vanilla accent. Body is very full with the carbonation adding a very creamy feel to the body. The alcohol is pretty prevalent and is noticeable in all aspects of the brew but overall a solid beer and one which would only get better with age.

Have had this a few times now and every time it is just great. Smooth and very drinkable. Nice balanced sweetness, alcohol and mild spice and bitterness. Raisins, plums, brown sugar mask the alcohol content quite well. Very nice.

Loads of honey on the first uncorking with sugared malts to follow. The full pour releases some hops, replacing some of the sugars. Initial aroma was great, main aroma is more average. Alcohol ends up coming through. Color is light brown auburn color with a big big lacy head. Taste is hot alcohol with moderate sweetness. Well balanced.

Bottle. Thanks to mRdEATH for sharing. Pours a medium amber with a nice off-white head. Aroma of yeast, figs and alcohol. Flavor is sweet balanced with hotness from the alcohol. Body is a tad thin for a beer of this magnitude. This is truly a great effort. However, the good quads are difficult competition. Probably the best American quad I’ve tasted, which might be misleading as the only other one I’ve tasted is Avery’s The Reverend, which is far, far inferior to this beer.

pours a dark brown with a ruby tint, a very large head, and good lacing. smell is of dark fruit, malt, oatmeal, a bit of cocoa, and burnt caramel. taste is smooth, malty, some cocoa, some dark fruit, and brown sugar, ends smooth and a little bitter.

Pour was deep amber/walnut color with decent head, no lacing. Aroma was heated brown sugar. The beer contain a huge malt profile, but is not over sweet, nor does it contain that fake candied sugar flavor of many US quads. Some notes of raisin and fruit reminds me of those raison bread things I always remember eating at funeral receptions as a kid. Again, I thought this was a pretty good effort. Cheers to Boulevard!
