Spicy, fruity aroma, yeast. Taste is spicy, fruity, pears, bordering on a funky spicy tartness. Lovely saison. I haven’t had their bottled one yet but would expect good things. stchloe (492), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Definitely a spicy tart beer. Very bitter body and yeast quality that is followed by a dry finish. But I just didn’t get this beer. sneagrams3 (1756), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 31, 2009 Tasted 7/21/09. Draft from Cicero’s. Filtered with a golden hue. White ring of head. Aromas of citrus and mild pepper with the Belgian yeast character in the forefront. Full bodied with a chalky body and a great yeast character. Citrus and oranges. Bitter and peppery finish. This is solid! trevor211 (504), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 30, 2009 On tap at Naked City. Pours a hazy light golden color with a tiny head. This stuff was way above expectations for me. Very aromatic - citrus, grains and yeast, with a bit of a bubble-gum sweetness. Flavor has a wonderful balance, and a great mouthfeel - just enough body for the style. Hops come through, balanced by sweet honey and candi sugar. Refreshing, for sure, but in no way dilute. This one’s great for a hot day. illinismitty (1797), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Tart citrus aroma, and perhaps a hint of funk. Flavor of pale malts, lemon, and pepper. Lots of sweetness and a very mild tartness on the finish. Not bad Butters (1652), Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Sampled on draft at the Music City Brewers Festival. Pours semihazy amber yellow with decent wispy white head. Good tartness, al little lemon citrus, with bitter lemon finish. Not bad, not stellar, but definitely above average. boFNjackson (1299), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 24, 2009 Tap @ OBF... Poured golden orange. Fain, yeast and wheat aroma. Mellon flavors and esters with a spiced crispness. Bigger grain flavors as the other two saisons at the fest. thegreenrooster (1835), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Pour is a bright gold with a large white head. Aroma is very fruity with some citrus hops. Flavor is again some fruityness and hops with a little bit of funk and finishes with a dry maltyness. I probably rated the saison brett from this brewer higher but this is right up there with some of the better American saisons.
