| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Updated: Jul 9, 2009Pours a hazy orange with a loose but big head that diminishes and tightens up a bit. The aroma is complex and a little wild with spicy clove, bubblegum, ginger, orange banana, pineapple and some yeast. The flavor has a great sweet on dry balance. Flavors include but are not limited to spicy ginger, orange, cognac, a menagerie of spices, some booze but not too harsh. I know this would not hold up well to ageing, without the spices I’m afraid this would be a boozy mess, but as it sits right now it is very tasty. beernbourbon (300), chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma is sour wheat, faint sweetness, green olives, and grass. Flavor is strong wheat, mild green olive, a touch of barnyard funk and hay. It’s solid, but not quite cohesive with a bit of alcohol in the finish. tjthresh (1778), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Pours cloudy ornage-yellow with scan white head. The nose is dominated with lavender and reminds me of Avery Twelve. Very perfumy. It appears that I enjoyed the Avery, but I’m not feeling this. Lots of flowers in the flavor as well, with a little bit more of a peppery and citrus note. Doughy body with sprite carbonation. A little bit of extra heat on the finish. Not much of a fan. bhensonb (4336), Woodland, California, USA

Aromas of coriander and likely orange zest. Spice. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is wheat, orange zest, banana?, and clove. Sure it’s banana. Finishes rather clove. Not a light beer. Really pretty good stuff. Peppery bits started popping up. Yum. mar (1903), Dallas, Texas, USA
