Thin mouthfeel with a sweet citrus and coriander and a nice spicy finish. A good Wit from Boulevard. jrob21 (1270), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Bottle from Soonah. Pours a cloudy dark orange color with a one finger size white head. Spice and clove like aroma. Nice body but not as big as some others I have had here recently. The wheat is quite muted but working in the background. Flavor is a lot of fruit upfront that finishes slightly spicy and with a faint hop bitterness. Fruit is mostly apple with some orange and a little lemon. Nice complexity here. I keep trying to decipher the full flavor profile. All of it is quite entertaining for a beer. boomer0813 (53), denton, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2009 750 ml Bottle with a big thanks to Soonah. Pours a wonderful murky orange with a head that seems to build forever, but eventually tapers off into a big fluffy cap on the beer. Strong aromas of clove, some banana, orange, and maybe a touch of Mentholatum. Taste is however, not as good as it appears. A little heavy on the sweetness, with a lot of citrus, some bread, and a bunch of ginger. Palate is smooth and creamy. Not terrible. ScottyP (314), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA

| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jul 28, 2009 I hate it when you pay 9 dollars for a bottle of beer and it tastes like this. Two jokers, who are they kidding, the joke’s on you fruitcake. It pours the color of a mixture of pale orange and apple juice with a 4 inch white head, the dissipates to under an inch before you can find a snack. It looks really appetizing in the glass though. The smell is like doughy, rough, fermenting bread, fruit peels, and spices. The flavor will shock you.
It’s dominated by ginger, and well that’s pretty much it. It should be called a ginger beer. You know how a little bit of ginger goes a long way..., well, these guys forgot that. There’s no hint of the alcohol. The feel of the beer is dry, spicy, and sharp. It does, however, go down rather smooth. The body is heavy and leaves you feeling weighted down, the opposite of what is supposed to happen with a seasonal summer, wit brew like this. I wouldn’t call this a wit, even if it is made with belgian yeast. It’s more in the category of a vegetable/special herb beer. It’s one of those, where you kinda have to squeeze down every swallow if you know what i mean. It’s just not taming this 105 deg. Texas heat.
...which is really kind of funny, because after i rated it, i went back and read the other ratings, then made this comment. A lot of other raters don’t seem to really care much for this beer either, yet they’re all rating it in the mid 3’s overall... just going with the flow i guess.
