Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

Fresh bottle brought by the brewery to Cole’s on the way to Cooperstown. Some wheat taste, yes. Yellow with a crowning white head, and some lace. Farmhouse aroma. High carbonation. Yet its all drinkable.

Pours cloudy pale yellow with white bubbly head that doesn’t last long. Some carbonation. Corn and citrus aroma. Fruity apples, pear, smooth, yeasty, leaves a film on the tongue. One of the better wheat beers I’ve had.

Great wheat bear. Smells of lemon, hints of lime, orange and other citruses. Cloudy orange color with finger width almost white head. Flavor of citrus, mostly lemon with bits of orange, and hops. Smooth all the way, no kick.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Has a cloudy golden color with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is citrus, wheat, and yeast. The taste was a sweet hop and a crisp finish. A good wheat ale from Boulevard.

Bottle drank at a pre-wedding party near Davenport, Iowa. Pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. The aroma was full of wheat and some citrus notes. The flavor was basically a sweet wheat/grain mix with a touch of citrus and honey. Enjoyable.

Draught at Busch Stadium, St. Louis. Pours hazy yellow with a small, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), light hops (citrus), average yeast (dough, earth) with notes of apple and pear. Light bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. Updated 4.5.09 from a bottle.
