Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

I went to Kansas State University, and this beer quickly became a mainstay in my house after the first bottle. The appearance and aroma may not be convincing on their own, but throw in a dash of lemon and this beer is one of the best American Wheats available today. It is very smooth, with a clean finish. Even without the lemon, the beer has a good balance of citrus flavor, probably due to the cascade and simcoe hops. Although perfect for a hot summer day, this beer can be enjoyed year round to quench any thirst.

Hazy yellowish orange pour in a nice tall Weizen glass. Short lived head and a smell of mainly hearty wheat, and a citrusy lemon lightness about it. Flavor was similar, and not spiced like a hefeweisen usually is, very smooth, and easy drinking. Possibly my new favorite american wheat beer. Light, refreshing, simply but with flavor, and very nice I thought.

This is a very enjoyable beer. It is good with food and won’t fill you up and yet it’s tasty. I look forward to drinking it whenever I’m in the midwest

A cloudy pale straw color with little to no head. The smell is has wheat and citrus. The taste is wheat, hint of citrus and a slight floral. Mouth feel is carbonated and the finish is slightly bitter.

This was the only microbrew I could find at the Mason City, IA Target. My first impression was that this was a virtually odorless and tasteless yellow wheat brew, but the flavor became a little bit more complicated as I sipped on. Subtle citrus and an easy finish.

Standard wheat beer.. Often the only choice throughout many of the bars in Omaha. Not bad but not great. Very sessionable.
