Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

Draft at Ciao Bella, Edina, MN. An acceptable wheat. Somewhat watery on draft. Light and refreshing with citrus flavors but spice was very slight. Drinkable and easy.

On tap and in bottles. This is one of the best American Wheats I have sampled. Notes of orange and clove. A good yeasty aroma. Smooth.

I’m not a big wheat beer fan, but found myself really enjoying this one when eating out at a Mexican joint. Smooth and citrusy.

I really enjoy this beer. Very heavy but smooth. Great milky apperance. One of my favorites to get on tap at a bar. Also good out of the bottle. Definatly worthwhile!

Poured from 12 oz bottle. Rolled before pouring to suspend all the goodies. Pale yellow to tan with expected haze from a non filtered wheat beer. Very little to no head, no lacing. Light body with more carbonation than I expected. Slightly sweet with banana overtones and a sharp finish. Decent lawnmower beer.

On draft in Stillwater, OK. Pour was fluorescent yellow looking with a very weak head and pitiful lacing. The aroma was lemons and lemons. The flavor was lemons over some lightly bitter wheat aspects, but overall this wasn’t that great of an American wheat. If I didn’t have the choc beer a night before this (which I didn’t like), I may have been more harsh on the ratings (maybe I was too easy on the Choc beer, actually). Must have more hops in these American wheat beers. Mouthfeel was light but within the bounds that this style offers.
