Commercial Description:
Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer, available since 2000 both in bottles and on draught, is a lively, refreshing ale with a citrusy flavor and distinctive cloudy appearance. Our Unfiltered Wheat is reminiscent of the wheat beers that were brewed at the turn of the century, before the advent of modern filtration.

I didn’t have my notebook with me when I had this. I’m rating from memory. I’ll have to rerate.

Yellow and cloudy with a white head that quickly exits. Smooth and slightly tangy. Definitely a hint of lemon. Not one that I care for in a bar, but might be tastier on a warm day.

Pours a pale hazy yellow color with a large amount of billowing white head. Aroma is sweetened hay, citrus, banana. Flavor is light and citrusy yet sweet. Overall, very refreshing. One of my favorite wheats to date.

A pale cloudy appearance with a frothy head. The aroma is of hay and lemon, has a light taste of wheat and lemon. It’s kinda fizzy, but it has a nice crisp sweetness. This stuff is common in KC; half the bars in town have it on tap and the rest have it in bottle. They just need to tone that carbo.

I have a problem with beer that looks like dirty water, but the brew came out on top with a good taste and a good smell.

The head was spare and diminishing with a yellow color. It had an interesting flavor with no bitter aftertaste.

very yellow, cloudy appearance. not much of a taste, guess the wheat stands out slightly with possible lemon overtone. carbonated, watery. rereated 12/20 to the same conclussion, actually bumped rating down a hair.
